My grandson, Landon Kieffer, is 5 years old and has been under the care of your "angels" since December 7th, 2009. He has Legg Calve Perthes Disease in both hips and through a referral from one of your members he was able to be seen by the hospital in St. Louis. I usually stay here and watch his little sister and "see" what took place through the pictures that come back with them. Two weeks ago I was able to go with my daughter and Landon, accompanied by his sister Addyson and see for myself the care and attention that he raves about when he returns. Although he is in leg braces and uses a wheelchair he still is a joyful, happy little 5 year old who is looking forward to starting school soon. The road to "normalcy" has been made smoother by your care and assistance and I can't thank you enough for helping him. If you would like a picture of Landon, please let me know. You will love the smiling red haired, freckled, baby blue eyed little boy with tied-dyed braces! |

My step-father Ralph Cheaney loved the Shriner's so much when he was alive. He was very active in the 1970's. I grew up going to the Shrine Circus as a kid, I came home from college to sing the Star Spangled Banner to open the Circus and I have taken my granddaughter to the Circus. While I always had fun, I also have never forgotten all of the good that you do every day for children. Thanks so much. |

My grandfather started taking us to the circus every year and the tradition has continued with my father. we love it and look forward to it and now i have children of my own. I would love to have a picture of our whole family taken with the funster car! I would love to see this be offered at the next circus. our children would much rather have pic taken with this instead of a snake or sponge(no offense) and i would gladly spend the money on that! it goes to a great cause, too! I hope this message gets to "Jasper" one of your Funsters' Clowns. I lived in Evansville when I met him and performed in my triplets' first year old party. After one of my triplets, Sofia, died in an accident, I was able to see Jasper not only in the funeral, but attended to my surviving triplets' fourth birthday party. My husband and I chose the Shriners to receive donations in my daughter's memory. Looks like we have a mutual friend: Ines Illaramendi and I would like to say HELLO to our dear Jasper and let him know that we left Evansville three years ago! Thank you! |

I just moved from Evansville after being a lifetime resident. I noticed you are having fried pickle chips at the Fall Festival. I am excited but have a request. I have had these with a dippin sauce that has horseradish in the sauce. Think maybe you could offer that too. It makes them really good.
