Dale Thomas

Dale was raised to Master Mason in Constellation Lodge 748 in October of 2009 and traversed the Hot Sands of the Sahara at Hadi Temple in November of 2009. Dale joined the Motor Corps in 2010 serving as Secretary, Vice President and the President in 2014. He is a member of the Prowler Go-cart group which continues to be so popular in Tri-State Parades each year. Dale has served as the Marketing Director and spokesman for Shrinersfest during the past 4 years.

Dale graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1977 with a degree in Speech Communication and a minor in Journalism spending the next several years working in local media including on-air with WIKY as the mid-day news anchor. Leaving radio in 1985 he returned to school tobecome a Paramedic working for Alexander Ambulance Service, serving as the EMS Coordinator for

Deaconess Hospital and teaching the local Paramedic program. During his tenure he worked to move that paramedic program from a hospital based model to a degree track program within the Ivy Tech. a hospital based model to a degree track program within the Ivy Tech. Today, Dale works as a Systems Management Consultant for Xerox Corporation.

Dale and his wife moved to the Evansville area in 1980 where he began his volunteer years with the local American Red Cross and American Heart Association. He founded CPR day in 1982 which trained, over the next 20 years, some 50-thousand area residents in this life saving skill. He served as Chairman of the Vietnam Wall Experience in 1999 that saw some 85-thousand veterans and visitors attend the 4-day event. He lives in St. Philip with his wife of 37 years, Lady Joyce. She retired from a 34-year career as a Clinical Pharmacist and Pharmacy Director at Deaconess Health System. Today she is a Senior Strategic Pharmacy Consultant for Vizient Incorporated, the nation's largest member owned Healthcare performance improvement company. They have two children, Jared Thomas a local attorney and Katelynn Burgess, a Speech Pathologist who resides in Lexington, Kentucky with her husband Jason.
